5.160 Discharge of Weapons.
This section is included in your selections.
(1) No person other than a peace officer shall use, fire or discharge a slingshot, crossbow, bow and arrow, blowgun, or weapon that is designed for and readily capable of expelling a projectile at the time it was discharged by force of spring or pressurized air or gas or gun powder or other explosive within the city or in a city-owned public park.
(2) Subsection (1) does not apply to or affect:
(a) A person discharging a firearm in the lawful defense of person or property.
(b) A person discharging a firearm on a public or private shooting range, shooting gallery or other area designed and built for the purpose of target shooting.
(3) Violation of this section constitutes a violation.
