(1) Notice required by section 6.976 shall also be posted in a public place at or near the front doors of the Jackson County Justice Building and Medford City Hall.

(2) If the vehicle exceeds $1,000 in value, notice shall be sent by certified mail as provided in section 6.976 and published once a week for two consecutive weeks in a daily newspaper of general circulation a summary description of the vehicle, its location at the time of impoundment and who to contact for further information.
