The order of business at Council meetings shall be as follows:

(1) Roll call

(2) Recognitions, community group reports

(3) Oral request and communications from the audience

(4) Approval or correction of the minutes of the preceding meeting

(5) Consent calendar

(6) Items removed from the consent calendar, if any

(7) Ordinances and resolutions

(8) Public Hearings

(9) Council Business (including propositions and remarks from the mayor and council members)

(10) Manager and staff reports

(11) Adjournment. The order of business at Council meetings is subject to change at the discretion of the presiding officer in accordance with the needs of the Council. Upon motion and second, any change in the order of business by the presiding officer may be overridden or changed by majority vote of Council members present.
