2.593 Contract Amendments (Including Change Orders and Extra Work).
This section is included in your selections.
Any contract amendment for additional work including change orders, extra work, field orders, or other change in the original specifications which increases the original contract price, may be made with the contractor without competitive bidding subject to the following conditions:
(1) A binding obligation exists on the parties covering the terms and conditions of the additional work; or
(2) The amount of the aggregate cost increase resulting from all amendments shall not exceed 25% of the initial contract.
